11/13/2008- Noble Design is closed...
It's bittersweet to write
those words. However, it's also been expected. I just didn't think
it would take 5 years...
You see, I started ND to
supplement my income as a church planter. It wasn't until last month
that I was able to stop doing graphic design and focus on our church.
It was then that the Arkansas Baptist State Convention and the North
American Mission Board stepped in to help, for which my family and
I are extremely grateful.
I will continue servicing
my existing clients until January 1, 2009. At that time, I will cease
and desist focusing on design work as a side business.
You can read the history
of ND below:
In 1989, two college
students started a graphic design business in Arkadelphia, Arkansas
called AdVantage
Advertising. The notion was simple: provide quality graphic design
and marketing to business and individuals at prices that would not
break their budgets AND work with the customer until they were completely
satisfied with their design.
I had to leave
the business in 1991 as I went to seminary and began
serving in ministry. From 1995 to 2003, I worked alongside
collegians as a campus minister at the Baptist
Collegiate Ministry at UAM.
In
January 2003, I helped plant Journey
Church of Monticello, Arkansas. I currently serve
as one of its co-pastors, helping to teach in the Sunday
morning services, lead small groups, and provide direction
and leadership to the church. Working bi-vocationally
enables me to meet people from all different walks of
life!
In August
2003, I went full-time with Noble Design.
Through an extensive network of designers, both print
and web, I can offer services ranging from web design,
t-shirt design, multimedia presentations, video, and
promotional products for a fraction of the price of anyone
else in the area.
In
September 2006, I launched MonticelloLive,
an interactive full-service community website for my
community of Monticello, Arkansas. I sold the website
in the fall of 2007 to Joe Burgess who continues to help
it be the main community news source in our town.
